When the player solves either one, they can be rewarded sometimes with unique magical items or special campaign map stat buffs. However, in this guide, we will be focusing solely on how to solve all four types of Total War Warhammer 2 puzzles, as they can be more tricky than the events at times. That said, here is how to solve all puzzles in Warhammer 2.

How to Solve Every Puzzle

As we previously mentioned, puzzles are found in the ruins of settlements scattered around the map of both the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns. You can also raze settlements to create searchable ruins, but we only recommend doing this if you can’t find any ruins to search and have no desire to capture that settlement in the future. You can raze cites by selecting the option that shows up after winning siege battles. 

Below, we will explain how to solve all puzzles currently in Total War Warhammer 2. In total, there are four types of puzzles in the game, and we will start by explaining how to solve the Dail of the Old Ones puzzles.

How to Solve the Dail of the Old Ones Puzzles

To solve the Dail of the Old Ones puzzle in Total War Warhammer 2, you have to picture how the inner lines on both the inner circle and the middle would point if you were to turn them in a clockwise rotation. For this one, we went ahead and highlighted the correct answer, and we solved it by linking the blue lines in the middle circle with that of the inner circle.

How to Solve the Cypher of the Old Ones Puzzles

To solve the Cypher of the Old Ones puzzles in Total War Warhammer 2, you have to figure out both the number and color of dots that belong in the title marked with a question mark. You can do this by narrowing down the options one at a time.

Note that when it comes to these puzzles in both columns and the rows they can not have the same amount of dots or dots of the same color. Also, note each tile can have up to four dots of any color. 

In the Cypher puzzle above, we solved it by first noticing that the bottom purple dot shares a column with two red dots and three yellow dots. After seeing this, look at the top left and notice how the red dot is sharing a column with three yellow dots, and the yellow with two purple dots. Based on this the correct answer for the unknown title would be three red dots, as the purple dot already shares a column with both two red and three yellow dots.

How to Solve the Rubric of the Old Ones Puzzles

Now, these rubric puzzles are pretty simple to solve. To solve the Rubric of the Old Ones puzzles in Total War Warhammer 2, all you have to do is figure out what shape is not being repeated. For this one, it was the shape that looks like two ladles put together that wasn’t being repeated.

How to Solve the Cuboid of the Old Ones Puzzles

Now for the last of the Total War Warhammer 2 puzzles, the cuboid puzzles, players will be required to figure out what symbol should appear on the side of the cube that has a question mark on it. To solve the Cuboid of the Old Ones puzzles, you first must look for a shape relative to that of the one with a question mark on it. 

In the image above, notice how the letter E shape is above the circle shape that is found on the cube with a question mark. Now picture flipping the cube so the circle shape is facing above like the question mark cube. After doing this it becomes clear that the E shape is the one that belongs on the question mark cube.
