What is the repeating visual element on an image or layout to create unity in the layout or image?

1. Balance- The visual weight of objects, texture, colors, and space is evenly distributed on the screen. Refers to the sense of distribution of perceived visual weights that offset one another. We feel more comfortable and therefore find it more pleasing when the parts of an artwork seem to balance each other.

2.. Emphasis- An area in the design that may appear different in size, texture, shape or color to attract the viewer’s attention.

3.Movement. Visual elements guide the viewer’s eyes around the screen. An act of changing physical location or position or of having this changed.

3. Pattern, Repetition, and Rhyth- These are the repeating visual element on an image or layout to create unity in the layout or image. Rhythm is achieved when visual elements create a sense of organized movement.

5. Proportion is the comparison of dimensions or distribution of forms. It is the relationship in scale between one element and another, or between a whole object and one of its parts. Proportion. Visual elements create a sense  of unity where they relate well with one another.

6. Variety- This uses several design elements to draw viewer’s attention. It is the quality or state of being different or diverse; the absence of uniformity, sameness, or monotony.
