Star Wars: Das Imperium schlägt zurück
Versuchen Sie doch mal, mit hartgesottenen „Star Wars“-Fans zu reden und dabei nebenbei einfließen zu lassen, dass Sie die Stelle in „Das Imperium schlägt zurück“ mögen, in der Darth Vader sagt „Luke, ich bin dein Vater.“
Zähneknirschen und ein frustriertes „Du hast das komplett falsch verstanden.“ Die Zeile, die Vader eigentlich von sich gibt ist nicht die, die wir alle seit Jahren sagen. Was er Luke nämlich eigentlich sagt ist „Nein, ich bin dein Vater.“
Was zwar in der Filmszene selbst durchaus Sinn ergibt, aber nicht halb so eingängig ist, wie der Satz, den wir alle heutzutage kennen.
Wall Street
In der „Wall Street“- Fortsetzung „Geld schläft nicht“ wiederholt Michael Douglas die berühmte Phrase seiner Figur, nämlich „Gier ist gut“. Dieser Ausspruch ist inzwischen tief in der Popkultur verwurzelt und ein Synonym für die finanzielle Habgier geworden.
Was Gordon Gekko allerdings in dem Filmklassiker von 1987 wirklich sagt, ist „Der Punkt, meine Damen und Herren, ist, dass Gier, in Ermangelung eines besseren Wortes, gut ist. Gier ist richtig, Gier funktioniert.“
Dirty Harry
Als eine neue Art von Leinwand-Cop war Clint Eastwoods Harry ein wütender, boshafter Polizist, mit einer gemeinen, anstachelnden Bemerkung für alle, die seinen Weg kreuzten – so wie etwa diese eine, geknurrte Zeile, die wir alle kennen und lieben: „Ist heute dein Glückstag, Punk?“
Das echte Zitat kommt am Ende eines langen, aber fantastischen Monologs: „Ich weiß genau was du denkst. Sind da nun 5 oder 6 Schüsse raus. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich selber nicht mitgezählt habe. Das ist eine 44er Magnum, der Ballermann ist außerordentlich gefährlich, nun frag dich doch mal, ob du ein Glückskind bist!“

Das Schweigen der Lämmer
Anthony Hopkins Kult-Performance ist inzwischen dank endloser Veralberungen und enttäuschender Firtsetzungen zur Parodie geworden.
Nichtsdestotrotz machen die Unterhaltungen von Hannibal Lecter und Jodie Fosters Clarice in „Das Schweigen der Lämmer“ immer noch Gänsehaut. Aber ein spezielles Zitat wird permanent wiederholt, auch wenn es nie wirklich in den Mund genommen wurde. Denn anstatt der berühmten Zeile „Hallo, Clarice“, sagt er in Wahrheit „Guten Abend, Clarice.“
Er mag zwar ein übergeschnappter Kannibale sein, aber er hat hervorragende Manieren. Lustigerweise enthielt die Fortsetzung des Films, „Hannibal“, genau wie „Wall Street: Geld schläft nicht“, aufgrund ihrer Popularität die oft falsch zitierte Phrase.
Casablanca
Vielleicht das berühmteste falsche Zitat der Filmgeschichte: „Spiel’s noch einmal, Sam“ wird in „Casablanca“ nie gesagt. Das, was dieser Zeile im Film am nächsten kommt, sagt Ingrid Bergmann zum Klavierspieler: „Spiel’s, Sam, um der alten Zeiten Willen.“
Der lebensmüde Humphrey Bogart sagt außerdem an einer Stelle: „Du hast es für sie gespielt, also kannst du es auch für mich spielen. Spiel es!“
Diese Zeile wurde jedoch in verschiedenen Filmen benutzt – etwa „Eine Nacht in Casablanca“ von den Marx Brothers – was zu dem Glauben führte, dass „Spiel’s noch einmal, Sam“ aus dem Film stamme.
Star Trek
Einer der am meisten zitierten Aussprüche aus Star Trek wurde weder in der TV-Serie noch in den vielen Filmen je gesagt.
Stattdessen ist das Zitat von Captain Kirk, das dem berühmten „Beam mich hoch, Scotty“ am nächsten kommt, 1987 in „Star Trek: Zurück in die Gegenwart“ gefallen. Kirk sagte dort „Scotty, beam uns hoch“.
